1 Corinthians 9:18 (KJV); What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
The teachings of our day have turned churches into profiteering enterprises and ministers of the gospel as their agents.
However, this trafficking in divine things has also turned believers and followers into willing buyers of the things of God.
People gather in some churches to know what in the oracles of God will advantage them.
They want to know how they can acquire all manner of material possessions in this world.
This is not why Jesus gathered men. The Bible reveals that He taught them concerning the Kingdom of God.
The apostle Paul followed in this pattern. The Bible says in Acts 28:31, “Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
Why do men come to Church? Do they gather to understand their individual callings? Do they gather to know the things that they must count as loss for the sake of the Kingdom? Do they come because they want to grow in the faith, to know God personally?
The church is not a marketplace. Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers for a reason. His house is a house of prayer; a house of worship; a house of communion; a house of faith; a house of true doctrine; a house of fellowship.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The church is not a marketplace. Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers for a reason. His house is a house of prayer; a house of worship; a house of communion; a house of faith; a house of true doctrine; a house of fellowship.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You because You have availed to me what makes me grow, opens my eyes to Your truths, shows me how to stand before You and reveals to me the unsearchable things of the Spirit. My reasons for attending service are consecrated and sanctified. There is no root of self-seeking in me as I go to the House of the Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

1 Wakorintho 9:18 (KJV); Basi thawabu yangu ni nini? Ni hii, ya kuwa nihubiripo, nitaitoa Injili bila gharama, bila kutumia kwa utimilifu uwezo wangu nilio nao katika Injili.
Mafundisho ya siku hizi yamegeuza makanisa kuwa mashirika ya faida na watumishi wa injili kama mawakala wao.
Hata hivyo, biashara hii ya mambo ya kimungu pia imewageuza waamini na wafuasi kuwa wanunuzi wa hiari wa vitu vya Mungu.
Watu hukusanyika katika baadhi ya makanisa ili kujua ujumbe gani wa Mungu utawanufaisha.
Wanataka kujua jinsi wanavyoweza kupata kila namna ya mali katika ulimwengu huu.
Hii sio sababu Yesu alikusanya watu. Biblia inafunua kwamba aliwafundisha kuhusu Ufalme wa Mungu.
Mtume Paulo alifuata mtindo huo. Biblia inasema katika Matendo 28:31, “akihubiri ufalme wa Mungu, na kuyafundisha mambo ya Bwana Yesu Kristo kwa ujasiri wote, asikatazwe na mtu.”
Kwa nini watu huja Kanisani? Je, wanakusanyika ili kuelewa miito yao binafsi? Je, wanakusanyika ili kujua mambo ambayo ni lazima wayahesabu kuwa hasara kwa ajili ya Ufalme? Je, wanakuja kwa sababu wanataka kukua katika imani, kumjua Mungu binafsi?
Kanisa sio soko. Yesu alipindua meza za wabadili fedha kwa sababu fulani. Nyumba yake ni nyumba ya sala; nyumba ya ibada; nyumba ya ushirika; nyumba ya imani; nyumba ya mafundisho ya kweli.

UJUMBE MKUU: Kanisa si soko. Yesu alipindua meza za wabadili fedha kwa sababu fulani. Nyumba yake ni nyumba ya sala; nyumba ya ibada; nyumba ya ushirika; nyumba ya imani; nyumba ya mafundisho ya kweli.
SALA: Baba Mpenzi, Nakushukuru kwa kweli hii. Asante kwa sababu umenisaidia kile kinachonifanya kukua, unafungua macho yangu kwa kweli Yako, unanionyesha jinsi ya kusimama mbele Zako na kunifunulia mambo yasiyochunguzika ya Roho. 1 Corinthiens 9:18 (NBS); Quel est donc mon salaire ? C’est d’offrir gratuitement la bonne nouvelle que j’annonce, sans user réellement du droit que cette bonne nouvelle me donne.
Les enseignements de notre époque ont transformé les églises en entreprises profiteuses et les ministres de l’évangile en sont leurs agents.
Cependant, ce trafic de choses divines a également transformé les croyants et les disciples en acheteurs volontaires des choses de Dieu.
Les gens se rassemblent dans certaines églises pour savoir ce qui, dans les oracles de Dieu, leur sera avantageux.
Ils veulent savoir comment ils peuvent acquérir toutes sortes de possessions matérielles dans ce monde.
Ce n’est pas pour cela que Jésus a rassemblé les hommes. La Bible révèle qu’Il leur a enseigné concernant le Royaume de Dieu.
L’apôtre Paul a suivi ce modèle. La Bible dit dans Actes 28:31(NBS): « il proclamait le règne de Dieu et enseignait ce qui concerne le Seigneur Jésus-Christ avec une entière assurance, sans empêchement.»
Pourquoi les hommes viennent-ils à l’église ? Se rassemblent-ils pour comprendre leurs appels individuels ? Se rassemblent-ils pour connaître les choses qu’ils doivent considérer comme une perte pour l’amour du Royaume ? Viennent-ils parce qu’ils veulent grandir dans la foi, connaître Dieu personnellement ?
L’église n’est pas un marché. Jésus a renversé les tables des changeurs de monnaie pour une raison. Sa maison est une maison de prière ; une maison de culte; une maison de communion; une maison de foi; une maison de la vraie doctrine; une maison de communion.

PRIÈRE: Père aimant, Je te remercie pour cette vérité. Merci parce que tu m’as fait profiter de ce qui me fait grandir, m’ouvre les yeux sur tes vérités, me montre comment me tenir devant toi et me révèle les choses insondables de l’Esprit. Mes raisons d’assister au service sont consacrées et sanctifiées. Il n’y a aucune racine d’égoïsme en moi alors que je vais à la Maison du Seigneur, au nom de Jésus, Amen.
