1 Corinthians 4:15 (KJV); For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
We live in a generation that is highly suspicious of the concept of spiritual submission. Some justifiably so because there are many dismaying stories of spiritual abuse.
But must we disregard the Word of God because some have abused their authority? No. The scriptures can never be broken, we can only break ourselves against them.
Submission to spiritual authority is one of the spiritual principles by which men profit. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:17, “Obey them that have the rule over you, and SUBMIT yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is UNPROFITABLE for you.”
Regardless of how anointed he is, every man requires a watchman. A man who is not watched over will cease to profit spiritually, it is only a matter of time.
If you trust God to teach you His Word through a man or woman of God (1 Thessalonians 2:13) and you consider that person your shepherd, then you must trust God that the same man or woman can watch over your soul and account to God for you. It would be self-deceptive to trust the Word he teaches but cannot trust that he can hear God in a critical matter about your life.

I receive this wisdom and embrace it as divine instruction in the patterns of growth. I communicate to my authorities in all good things. With humility, receive the Word You teach through them, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

KUELEWA UTII WA MAMLAKA YA KIROHO

1 Wakorintho 4:15 (KJV); Kwa kuwa ijapokuwa mna waalimu kumi elfu katika Kristo, walakini hamna baba wengi; Maana mimi ndimi niliyewazaa katika Kristo Yesu kwa njia ya Injili.
Tunaishi katika kizazi ambacho kinashuku sana dhana ya utii wa mamlaka ya kiroho. Wengine kwa uhalali kwa sababu kuna visa vingi vya kukatisha tamaa vya unyanyasaji wa kiroho.
Lakini je, tunapaswa kulipuuza Neno la Mungu kwa sababu wengine wametumia vibaya mamlaka yao? Hapana. Maandiko hayawezi kuvunjwa kamwe, tunaweza tu kujivunja dhidi yao.
Kujisalimisha kwa mamlaka ya kiroho ni mojawapo ya kanuni za kiroho ambazo wanadamu hufaidika nazo. Biblia inasema katika Waebrania 13:17, “Watiini wenye kuwaongoza, na kujisalimisha; maana wao wanakesha kwa ajili ya roho zenu, kama watu watakaotoa hesabu, ili kwamba wafanye hivyo kwa furaha wala sio kwa kuugua; maana hiyo HAINA FAIDA kwenu.”
Bila kujali amepakwa mafuta kiasi gani, kila mtu anahitaji mlinzi. Mtu asiyelindwa ataacha kufaidika kiroho, ni suala la muda tu.
Ikiwa unamwamini Mungu kukufundisha Neno lake kupitia mwanamume au mwanamke wa Mungu (1 Wathesalonike 2:13) na unamwona mtu huyo kuwa mchungaji wako, basi unapaswa kumwamini Mungu kwamba mwanamume au mwanamke huyo huyo anaweza kuilinda nafsi yako na kutoa hesabu yako kwa Mungu. Ingekuwa ni kujidanganya kutumaini Neno analofundisha lakini huwezi kuamini kwamba anaweza kumsikia Mungu kuhusu jambo muhimu la maisha yako.

UJUMBE MKUU: Ikiwa unamwamini Mungu kukufundisha Neno lake kupitia mwanamume au mwanamke wa Mungu (1 Wathesalonike 2:13) na unamwona mtu huyo kuwa mchungaji wako, basi unapaswa kumwamini Mungu kwamba mwanamume au mwanamke huyo huyo anaweza kuilinda nafsi yako na kutoa hesabu yako kwa Mungu. Ingekuwa ni kujidanganya kutumaini Neno analofundisha lakini huwezi kuamini kwamba anaweza kumsikia Mungu kuhusu jambo muhimu la maisha yako.
