Apostle Grace Lubega
Exodus 9:1 (KJV); Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Service is our way of giving back to God.
It is unfortunate that we live in a consumer-driven society that is always bent on taking. This same mindset has permeated the Church and how some Christians relate with the Father.
God, to some, is merely a transaction. In the first year of relating with Him, they need a job; in the second year, they need a car; in the third year, they need a spouse; in the fourth year, they need a visa to a foreign nation.
When you examine some of their lives, you will find that they have not done anything to give back to God. How can you have understood the salvation story and not serve God?
We are freed to serve Him. We were translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light to serve Him.
It is not enough to merely attend services, listen to sermons and rejoice at the depth of the message. You must find something to do for God. Apply your hands, your feet, your mind, finances, or talents and gifts for the benefit of the kingdom. He has given you everything, give back to Him through service.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I receive it with humility and examine my life against it. I am available Lord, that You may both teach and use me. Send, position and place me where I can serve You with diligence and commitment, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
