Apostle Grace Lubega
Ecclesiastes 10:4 (KJV): “If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.”
—
The Bible teaches us that yielding pacifies great offenses. While we often think of offense as something between people, there is a deeper dimension to yielding: surrendering our will to God and aligning ourselves with His purpose. So many people go through life just trying to survive, never stopping to ask why God put them on this earth or what He wants them to do.
Living this way isn’t just a minor mistake; it has real, eternal consequences. God connects people to your assignment. There are souls meant to be reached, impacted, or led to Christ through your obedience. When we choose indifference, those people may miss out on what God wanted to give them through us. This is why Paul could confidently say in Acts 20:26–27 that he was clean from the blood of all men because he had faithfully declared the full counsel of God. He yielded to God’s purpose, embraced his assignment, and did it well.
Yielding to God is what keeps us on the right path. When we surrender our own plans, God clears our vision so we can see His blueprint for our lives. It aligns us with the grace God has made available for our assignment, giving us the strength to pay the price of obedience and finish our journey knowing that we did everything He called us to do. Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for Your Word. I yield my heart, my plans, and my future to You today. You position me in the paths of divine purpose and give me the courage to obey. I reach all I must reach and touch all that must be changed through me. In Your name and for Your glory. Amen.
