Hebrews 12:18-21 (KJV): For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

As His children, God does not expect us to come into His presence with fear.
While this may have been the case with the children of Israel in the Old Testament, the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ changed that narrative.
The children of Israel were sternly warned not to even try to see God. In Exodus 19:21, the Lord told Moses, “Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.”
They were not even to touch the mountain because the consequence was death.
That is not our story. Ours, in fact, is an invitation to do the very opposite.
In 1 John 1:1-3, the Bible says, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”
In our dispensation, we have the liberty to SEE AND TOUCH GOD. We have been called to go to His throne with boldness.

VOUS ÊTES VENU À DIEU II

Hébreux 12:18-21 (LSG); Vous ne vous êtes pas approchés d’une montagne qu’on pouvait toucher et qui était embrasée par le feu, ni de la nuée, ni des ténèbres, ni de la tempête, [19] ni du retentissement de la trompette, ni du bruit des paroles, tel que ceux qui l’entendirent demandèrent qu’il ne leur en fût adressé aucune de plus, [20] car ils ne supportaient pas cette déclaration: Si même une bête touche la montagne, elle sera lapidée. [21] Et ce spectacle était si terrible que Moïse dit: Je suis épouvanté et tout tremblant!

En tant qu’enfants, Dieu ne s’attend pas à ce que nous venions en sa présence avec crainte.
Bien que cela ait pu être le cas des enfants d’Israël dans l’Ancien Testament, la mort et la résurrection de notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ ont changé ce récit.
Les enfants d’Israël furent sévèrement avertis de ne même pas essayer de voir Dieu. Dans Exode 19 :21, le Seigneur dit à Moïse : « Descends, fais au peuple la défense expresse de se précipiter vers l’Éternel, pour regarder, de peur qu’un grand nombre d’entre eux ne périssent. »
Ils ne devaient même pas toucher la montagne car la conséquence était la mort.
Ce n’est pas notre histoire. En fait, nous sommes une invitation à faire exactement le contraire.
Dans 1 Jean 1 :1-3, la Bible dit : «Ce qui était dès le commencement, ce que nous avons entendu, ce que nous avons vu de nos yeux, ce que nous avons contemplé et que nos mains ont touché, concernant la parole de vie, car la vie a été manifestée, et nous l’avons vue et nous lui rendons témoignage, et nous vous annonçons la vie éternelle, qui était auprès du Père et qui nous a été manifestée, ce que nous avons vu et entendu, nous vous l’annonçons, à vous aussi, afin que vous aussi vous soyez en communion avec nous. Or, notre communion est avec le Père et avec son Fils Jésus-Christ.
Dans notre dispensation, nous avons la liberté de VOIR ET DE TOUCHER DIEU. Nous avons été appelés à nous diriger vers son trône avec audace.

Hebräer 12,18-21 (SLT): Denn ihr seid nicht zu dem Berg gekommen, den man anrühren konnte, und zu dem glühenden Feuer, noch zu dem Dunkel, der Finsternis und dem Gewittersturm, noch zu dem Klang der Posaune und dem Donnerschall der Worte, bei dem die Zuhörer baten, dass das Wort nicht weiter zu ihnen geredet werde − denn sie ertrugen nicht, was befohlen war: „Und wenn ein Tier den Berg berührt, soll es gesteinigt oder mit einem Pfeil erschossen werden!“ Und so schrecklich war die Erscheinung, dass Mose sprach: „Ich bin erschrocken und zittere!“

Gott verlangt nicht von uns als Seine Kinder, dass wir mit Schrecken in Seine Gegenwart kommen.
Während dies bei den Kindern Israels im Alten Testament der Fall gewesen sein mag, hat der Tod und die Auferstehung unseres Herrn und Erlösers Jesus Christus diese Sichtweise geändert.
Die Kinder Israels wurden eindringlich gewarnt, nicht einmal zu versuchen, Gott zu sehen. In 2. Mose 19,21 sagte der Herr zu Mose: „Steige hinab und ermahne das Volk, dass sie nicht zum HERRN durchbrechen, um zu schauen, und viele von ihnen fallen!“
Sie durften den Berg nicht einmal berühren, denn die Folge wäre der Tod gewesen.
Aber das ist nicht unsere Botschaft. Unsere Nachricht ist vielmehr die Aufforderung, genau das Gegenteil zu tun.
In 1. Johannes 1,1-3 steht in der Bibel: „Was von Anfang war, was wir gehört haben, was wir mit unseren Augen gesehen haben, was wir angeschaut und was unsere Hände betastet haben vom Wort des Lebens − was wir gesehen und gehört haben, das verkündigen wir euch, damit auch ihr Gemeinschaft mit uns habt; und unsere Gemeinschaft ist mit dem Vater und mit seinem Sohn Jesus Christus.“
In diesem Zeitalter haben wir die Freiheit, GOTT ZU SEHEN UND ZU BERÜHREN. Wir sind dazu berufen, mutig vor Seinen Thron zu treten.

GEBET: Mein Herr, ich danke Dir für dieses Wort. Ich danke Dir für diese Einladung zu einem Leben der tiefen Vertrautheit mit Dir. Ich komme zu Dir ohne Schrecken, weil ich weiß, dass ich angenommen und von Dir geliebt werde. Ich sehe, berühre, schmecke und betaste das Wort des Lebens, während ich meine Gemeinschaft mit Dir, meinem Vater, immer mehr vertiefe. In Jesu Namen, Amen.
