If You Do Well
Apostle Grace Lubega
Genesis 4: 4-7(KJV); And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Every man struggling with envy has two problems; they don’t know how to get what they covet and are too proud to ask how.
The first murder in the history of mankind was by a man who did not know how to do something and was not humble enough to inquire about how to do it.
God had asked him the ultimate question, ‘If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?’
What did this mean? Envy will always frustrate access. The scriptures call it the rottenness of the bones(Proverbs 14:30). The ‘bones’ are the deepest seat of the anointing. Envy can even eat at this place in a human spirit.
Whatsoever you admire in another man is available in God, you just need to learn how to get it. All Cain had to do was to learn from Abel why his sacrifice was found worthy before God. This simple humility would have saved him from eternally tainting his hands with the blood of his brother.
Wrath is cruel and anger is outrageous but who is able to stand before envy?(Proverbs 27:4).
When you see something that a sister or brother has, remember that there is more where that came from, just learn how. Be humble enough to ask how, to celebrate the successes of other men and to honour what you want to attract.
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this Word. I receive this wisdom with great humility. I know that I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. I celebrate the successes and victories of others. I honour what I must attract.
