By His Sword

Apostle Grace Lubega

Matthew 10:34-35 (KJV): Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Every Born Again Christian needs a wilderness experience.

This is not a physical wilderness but a spiritual experience in which, among other things,God separates you from anything on which you ordinarily depend be it friends, colleagues or family.

That is the essence of His sword: it separates father from son, daughter from mother and daughter in law from mother-in-law. This does not necessarily mean that they are bad people. What it means is that you cease to keep around them so often because you are always driven to the presence of God and to places of solitude. Seeing “Canaan” sometimes requires that you leave your own.

You may have lost people who were previously close to you thinking that it is a spirit of rejection at work in your life. No! God is separating you so He can work in you.

Your family, colleagues and friends may not understand you now but don’t let that disturb you; allow God to work through you.

A time will come when you will return, like Christ did, from the wilderness in the power of the Holy Ghost; you will come back in glory to demonstrate the power of God. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET:
Your family, colleagues and friends may not understand you now but don’t let that disturb you; allow God to work through you. God is separating you so He can work in you. A time will come when you will return from the wilderness in the power of the Holy Ghost; you will come back in glory to demonstrate the power of God.

PRAYER: My father, thank you for your Word. I yield to your working in me. Every day you teach me the importance of depending on you; you shape me, mould me and break me for your purpose. Even as you deal in me, I know it can only be that you eventually deal through me: to change many, to draw many to you and to demonstrate your glory.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
