Apostle Grace Lubega
Hebrews 9:8-10(KJV); The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation
Our theme scripture paints a picture of a reality in the olden times that still exists to this present day.
The Bible speaks of divers washing and carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Even to this day, we have Christians who live by rules and formulas that have been imposed on them.
They listened to preachers who told them about the ABCs of deliverance, the five steps to get a miracle or the seven steps to multiply wealth. Some have done these steps faithfully and have not gotten the results that they seek. They ask themselves why they did all they were told to do but have not gotten the answers they desire.
Child of God, what is simply imposed has not been revealed. If it is not revealed, it cannot lead you to the answer you seek.
You must ask yourself, “why am I doing this?” “What do the scriptures say about this principle?”
Formulas without the understanding of God’s Word and His mind are merely ungodly short cuts and with these short cuts, you will meander in the wilderness of frustration for years on end.
Purpose to understand why you do and practice certain steps; why you do the things you do to be able to achieve your desires.
God’s name be praised!
FURTHER STUDY: Deuteronomy 29:29; Mark 7:13
What is simply imposed has not been revealed. Formulas without the understanding of God’s Word and His mind are merely ungodly short cuts.
PRAYER: My loving Father, I thank you for this Word. You have given me understanding and it is the pattern of my life. I seek you in understanding. I give in understanding. I serve in understanding. To the glory of your name, Amen.
