To See The Lord

Apostle Grace Lubega

Exodus 33:18-23 (KJV): And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory… And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Moses desired to see the glory of God but the Lord told him that there is a glory in God which no man can see and live.

This glory cannot be withstood by the terrestrial (physical) body.

Of that glory, the Bible says that it is a light that no man can approach (1 Timothy 6:16).

The Lord told Moses, “Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by.”

For Moses to see the glory of God, the Lord told him that there was a place by him and Moses was to stand upon a rock.

Child of God, understand that this is not a physical rock, it is a spiritual one. And, this rock is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 10:4).

This therefore means we cannot have the full vision of God in the terrestrial body.

It can only be as we transcend into our celestial nature and see God through the eyes of Jesus, the rock of our salvation.

God is not saying that this experience is unattainable while you are in the physical body but rather that you need to take on a form which is not human to see a glory that cannot be seen by men.

It is why God defines you as an eternal being.

Even though no man (physically) can access that degree of glory, you can by the Spirit because you have a celestial existence. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET:
We cannot have the full vision of God in the terrestrial body. It can only be as we transcend into our celestial nature and see God through the eyes of Jesus, the rock of our salvation.

PRAYER: My God I thank you. This day you have set my eyes to look on that which is eternal in the knowledge that as I behold, I am transformed. What a great honour Lord to know that you don’t want me to only know you through visions and dreams but to behold your very countenance and see you face to face. Lord, I choose to see and behold you through Christ and as I behold, I am humbled by the glory you reveal. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
