1 Chronicles 22:9 (KJV); Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
When the wisdom of God is at work in any man, that wisdom causes that man to be at peace with all men, even with his enemies.
This was the experience of King Solomon as described in our theme scripture. Solomon was a man in whom the Spirit of wisdom worked greatly. As such, in his days Israel enjoyed peace and quietness.
What this teaches us is that if you find a man constantly at war with everyone around him, possibly, that man does not have the wisdom of God at work in him. A man of God who spends precious kingdom time hurling insults at other men of God or who makes a career of smearing the reputations of other people’s ministries does not have the wisdom of God at work in him.
This also extends to the workplace. If a person is always at loggerheads with colleagues and supervisors, that person does not have the wisdom of God at work in him.
In James 3:17, the Bible describes the wisdom of God as peaceable. The Message version of this scripture says that God’s wisdom is characterised by getting along with others.
Thus, wisdom is what teaches us to pursue peace with all men; it compels us to remain silent even when we are insulted. Wisdom teaches us that sometimes, the greatest way to fight is not to fight at all. A man of wisdom is a man of peace

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this Word. The scripture says that You are my wisdom. Because I am wise, I am a child of peace. Wisdom is at work in me, teaching me when to speak, when to be silent and when to act. With this same wisdom, I fight and win my battles. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In our theme scripture, the writer of the gospel of Luke reveals a critical order in the things of the Spirit. He says that the multitude that followed Jesus came to HEAR HIM AND TO BE HEALED.
As a child of God, you must know how to keep yourself in God. The most significant way is to guard your heart. Our theme scripture emphasises this fact when it says, “above all else.” This means that while you may do many things in line with keeping yourself, the leading consideration is that you guard your heart.
Dominion and fruitfulness are commands.
The prayer of thanksgiving is the true prayer of faith. This is because when someone prays in thanksgiving, it is because they see the end result of their prayer.
When Jesus Christ walked the earth in the flesh, it was an act of humility. When He came as the son of David, it was an act of humility. When He chose to die on the cross, it was an act of humility.
The fear of death keeps men in perpetual bondage.
There are people who have mastered the art of reacting to adversity by running to the Word to search for scriptures that apply to their circumstances. For example, if they receive a bad report from the doctor, they run to the internet and google healing scriptures. When they have issues with their finances, they look up scriptures that affect their finances.
God never intends to write off anyone with whom He is in covenant relationship. Even when that person is under judgment, it does not mean that God has written them off.
Jesus’ life was not taken from Him, He gave it. The Message version of our theme scripture says that He laid it down of His own free will.
The peace of God is meant to reassure and settle your heart. It operates from inside you. When your heart is settled, then YOU can deal with what is on the outside.
As a believer in Christ, you are superior to the angels. He has set you above them. Like our theme scripture reveals, angels minister for you. They are servants of the heirs of salvation, who are the children of God.
