We Stand Because Of God
The Phaneroo Devotion: We Stand Because Of God
Apostle Grace Lubega
1 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV); Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Our theme scripture is sometimes used by Christians to chastise those who believe that they stand and cannot fall. I have heard some say, “Never imagine that you can never fall. Anyone can fall. In fact, the Bible says that let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
This scripture was meant for those who assume that they stand by their own power and will. If that is what you believe, you will surely fall.
However, If a man believes that he stands by the power of God, that man cannot fall.
Your ability to stand, if vested in your own personal strength will surely fail you. But when you set your eyes on God, He makes it His business to ensure that you never fall.
So, stand bold, child of God. Put your trust in God Almighty, because it is His business to ensure that you never fall.
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Peter 1:10, Jude 1:24
GOLDEN NUGGET: Your ability to stand, if vested in your own personal strength will surely fail you. But when you set your eyes on God, He makes it His business to ensure that you never fall.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. You are the lifter of my head, my firm foundation, and my fortress. In all that I do, my confidence is in You. Because I have put my trust in You, I know that I will never fall. I will always stand safely in Your arms. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What attracts you to the presence of God? Is it the beauty of the voices during worship, the lights and the stage set-up or the influence of peers?
An important aspect of the revelation of worship is understanding spiritual times and seasons. While it is important to know the God you worship, it is also vital to worship Him in the revelation of the times and seasons within which He functions.
Worship is a revelation. One of the aspects of this revelation is who you worship.
For a long time, Jerusalem was under Roman rule. There were existing tensions within the population and sometimes, insurrections were led by men who sought the deliverance of Israel from Roman control.
Our theme scripture captures a key event in the life of Christ, which some theologians have called the triumphant entry. In Christendom, it is celebrated as Palm Sunday. It is an annual event.
What proves that you are born of God?
As children of God, the earth and everything in it was given to us as our responsibility and not as our standard.
It is part of the wisdom of prayer to intercede for others and not only yourself and what concerns you.
The Bible mandates us as the body of Christ to pray for ALL men. This means that in the mind of God, prayer should not be limited to only our personal needs and the needs of those in our immediate circle.
We live in a dispensation where the Word of God is readily available to us. It is in print, on our phones, on our laptops and in various accessible devices of choice. We have the 66 books of the Bible compiled and availed to us for our study and reading.
The scriptures refer to the angels as ministering spirits who minister to the heirs of salvation.
