The Great Promise Keeper

The Great Promise Keeper

Apostle Grace Lubega

Luke 2:25-30 (KJV); And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation.

Simeon was an old man. We see here a devout spirit, his heart set on the eternal GOD and who was “waiting for the consolation of Israel.”

In his old age, it can be rightly said that Simeon was incapable of walking long distances—perhaps his bones might tire.

But the great LORD had made him the solemn promise that he would not see death until he had seen the LORD’S Christ.

It is therefore no mere coincidence that Simeon is led of the Spirit at the very moment that the great saviour of the universe was brought here to Jerusalem, Simeon’s hometown.

GOD, the great promise keeper, had done everything possible to bring closer to Simeon the fulfilment of what He had promised.

That is the operation of His grace! It can bring closer to you that which He promised.

It doesn’t matter how big it is, He will bring it close to you.

Jesus is big, He is eternal, immortal and is the Lord of Lords but because of the promise God had made to Simeon, He [GOD] moved Him close to where Simeon lived.

God not only promises, but also makes sure that He creates every avenue, He sorts every affair; He levels every mountain and raises every valley to make sure that what He promised is fulfilled in your life. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 1:12, Joshua 21:45

GOLDEN NUGGET:
God not only promises, but also makes sure that He creates every avenue, He sorts every affair; He levels every mountain and raises every valley to make sure that what He promised is fulfilled in your life.

PRAYER: My God you are true to your Word; everything else may fail but you never fail. Circumstances may speak but your promises are true. Like Joshua and the children of Israel, I know that every Word you have spoken upon my life shall come to pass. Lord I believe! Thank you for raising valleys, levelling mountains and for making everything you promised possible. I know, with all my heart that goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life and I will live to see your goodness in the land of the living. Amen!

Amen !

Never Lose Your Sweet Words

Never Lose Your Sweet Words

Apostle Grace Lubega

Proverbs 23:8 (KJV); The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.

There are people who vomit the morsel they have eaten and lose their sweet words.

It means that they will only confess right up to a particular point.

Life and death are in the power of your tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

GOD does not want you to vomit and lose the sweet thing, His Word.

When you ask and believe you have received, hold on to the conviction that you have received what you asked for no matter the circumstances to the contrary.

The testimony of GOD is that His word remains and abides in you forever (1 Peter 1:25).

Wrong confession makes you appear as one in whom the Word does not abide.

Keep your sweet words. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Philemon 1:6, Hebrews 3:14

GOLDEN NUGGET:

GOD does not want you to vomit and lose the sweet thing, which is His Word. When you ask and believe you have received, hold on to the conviction that you have received what you asked for no matter circumstances to the contrary.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word. I hold onto it to the end and by that I partake Christ. I can never speak contrary to truth regardless of the circumstances around me. Evil communication is far from me. I never offend in speech and as such, I see perfection in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We Have A Living Hope

Apostle Grace Lubega

Job 14:7(KJV); For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

Life has a way of painting a finality to certain things. It makes them seem irreversible, permanent or impossible.

That’s the woman despairing over the doctor’s Stage IV Cancer diagnosis.

That’s the man whose business is sinking and there seems to be nothing he can do about it.

That is the spouse whose partner has walked out of the marriage.

Regardless of the situation, the LORD assures you that there is hope for a tree, even if it is cut down, that it will sprout again.

If there be hope for the dead stump of a tree, how much more for you child of GOD?!

GOD has erased the finality of circumstances and given us the hope that anything can be revived.

In Job 14:8-9 He says, “Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”

At the merest scent of water, a dead tree has hope. For the Christian, this water represents the Word to your soul (Ephesians 5:26).

It doesn’t matter how dead the situation is, the Word can give it life.

Speak the Word because it is spirit and life (John 6:63).

Speak life over that business. Speak life over your body. Speak life over your marriage. It will revive. Glory!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Peter 1:3-5, Proverbs 15:4

GOLDEN NUGGET:

GOD has erased the finality of circumstances and given us the hope that anything can be revived.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word. I rejoice in it because by it, all things are possible. Lord by your Word, rivers flow in the deserts and the wilderness blossoms. It is the life in my business, my marriage, my career, my ministry and my body. I speak it in wisdom and understanding. I thank you that it revives anything dead around me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE GOD-INSPIRED LIFE

THE GOD-INSPIRED LIFE

Apostle Grace Lubega

2 Timothy 3:16-17(AMP); Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Every scripture is GOD-breathed, that is, it is saturated with the breath of GOD.

The great news is that this Word (that is filled with GOD’S breath) is in you.

You have been born of an incorruptible seed, which is the Word of GOD (1 Peter 1:23).

If every scripture is GOD breathed, then everything about you is also GOD breathed.

Take a moment and meditate on the power of the breath of God. In Genesis 2:7, His breath changed the lifeless form of man into a living being.

Having the entire Word of GOD in you means you have the fullness of the life of God.

In you is the divine capacity to give life to any dead thing or circumstance.

Your job is GOD breathed, your marriage is GOD breathed, your business is God breathed, and your career is God breathed.

It means that everything about you is vibrating with the life of GOD. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Colossians 4:4, John 6:63

GOLDEN NUGGET:

Your job is GOD breathed, your marriage is GOD breathed, your business is God breathed, and your career is God breathed. It means that everything about you is vibrating with the life of GOD.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the power of the Word. That very Word is Spirit and life and has saturated every area of my life. Everything in my life has the evidence of your breath. Whatsoever I do carries the divine life. My ministry is vibrating with the life of God, my career is full of the life of God, and my family and all that concerns me reflects the life of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Wisdom Pearl for Spiritual Growth

Wisdom Pearl for Spiritual Growth

Apostle Grace Lubega

Jeremiah 36:1-4(KJV); And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day…Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

It is Christian discipline to habitually take notes when hearing the Word of GOD. It demonstrates respect for the Word and it allows the Spirit of GOD to minister to you more deeply on any given subject.

That is why from old, the scriptures refer and confer much importance to scribes.

For example, for the Prophet Jeremiah, there were oracles that he could not speak until Baruch the scribe was present to write them.

As a child of God who is keen on hearing God, get into the habit of writing what you feel is revelation and worth pondering about.

Don’t merely rely on your memory. Like the English adage goes, the faintest pencil is better than the sharpest memory.

If you take notes during class, trainings and workshops, how much more while listening to the Word of God?

We are reading Jeremiah today because of what was written down. Some of the things you write will bless your nation and your generation.

Have the faith to believe that what you write will not end with you. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET

It is Christian discipline to habitually take notes when hearing the Word of GOD. It demonstrates respect for the Word and it allows the Spirit of GOD to minister to you more deeply on any given subject.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this wisdom, I take your voice and Word seriously. Even as I walk after the pattern of today’s instruction, I grow and mature in the things of the Spirit. I hear with more clarity and see with deeper vision in your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Amen.

The Application of the Word

The Application of the Word
[restabs alignment=”osc-tabs-left” responsive=”false” tabcolor=”#81d742″ seltabcolor=”#eeee22″] [restab title=”English” active=”active”]

Apostle Grace Lubega

2 Peter 1:20-21 (KJV); Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Greek word for interpretation as used is our theme scripture is “epilusis”, translated to mean application.

Because scripture is God inspired, it comes with the divine ability to interprete and apply it.

When the Word comes in your spirit, it has to prosper because it comes both with the interpretation of the Holy Ghost and the grace to apply what has been interpreted.

When the Bible says you can heal the sick (Matthew 10:8), that Word comes with the grace for you to interpret it and also to apply it.

When the Bible says you will lend to nations, that scripture comes with the grace for you to both interpret and apply it (Deuteronomy 15:6).

When the scriptures say you are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you (Romans 8:37), that scripture comes with the grace to interpret and apply it.

You do not only understand the Word but it manifests through you. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16

GOLDEN NUGGET:
When the Word comes in your spirit, it has to prosper because it comes both with the interpretation of the Holy Ghost and the grace to apply what has been interpreted.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the Word. I have both the understanding of it and the divine ability to apply it. I understand healing and demonstrate healing. I understand deliverance and demonstrate deliverance. I understand divine providence and demonstrate divine providence. Today I walk in the absolute confidence that the Word works effectually in me. As I speak it, I release the life of God. As I speak it, I demonstrate the power of the Almighty. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Amen.

Deuteronomy 11:18-20(KJV); Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

In the secular world, brand visibility is a great force in influencing consumer choices.

The men of this world use it aggressively. As a principle, it is scriptural in nature.

The LORD told the children of Israel how they ought to treat the Word.

They were to have it on their hearts and souls, to bind those words upon their hands, as frontlets between their eyes, to teach them to their children everywhere and every time, to write them on the door posts and on the gates.

It is a beautiful thing to have the Word in your Spirit, to meditate and ponder on it. But take it a notch higher—paint your world with the Word.

Scripture must be everywhere: put it on your refrigerator, carry it on your phone, put it as your laptop screen saver, let it be in your living room, your bedroom, the first thing you see when you arise and the last you see when you get to bed. Above all in your HEART.

Speak it at every opportunity. Let your world shine with the radiant colours of the Word. Hallelujah!

Keep And Ponder

Keep And Ponder
[restabs alignment=”osc-tabs-left” responsive=”false” tabcolor=”#81d742″ seltabcolor=”#eeee22″] [restab title=”English” active=”active”]

Apostle Grace Lubega

Luke 2:16-19(KJV); And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it WONDERED at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary KEPT all these things, and PONDERED them in her heart.

Revelation creates excitement in our spirits the moment we receive its lights because it carries the sweetness of wisdom.

Sadly though, to some, excitement is all there is to their reception of the Word.

For a while, they may marvel at it but with the passage of time, they forget and never seek to apply it in their lives.

So it was with the people that had the privilege to witness the birth of our LORD and master.

They “wondered” at the things that were told them by the shepherds. BUT we see a pensive Mary “keep and ponder” these things in her heart.

She meditated on these words, thoughtfully considered their implications, weighed their strengths, distilled their effects and painted their realities in her mind until they took on a life of their own.

They were not another event to marvel about, they were a reality to be grabbed and held onto.

Such a response to the Word is never wasted. It will guarantee results in your life.

It is not a mere coincidence that Mary prompted the first miracle by the Christ as recorded in the scriptures.

It is not by mistake that this miracle was performed by Jesus before his time (John 2:3-5).

When you receive the Word, don’t just marvel, keep and ponder on it. When you hear a testimony on the power, yes shout “glory, hallelujah!” but keep and ponder on it.

Reflect on it, dissect its truths, seek its clarity, incline and apply your heart and mind to understanding it until it comes alive in your spirit. Glory to GOD!

FURTHER STUDY: Joshua 1:8, Colossians 3:16

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word. I stand in the assurance that it never fails. I meditate on it daily. I know it never goes out and returns to you void. Thank you that out of the overflow of my meditations, I see results: the lame walk, the blind see and the bound are delivered. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflect on it, dissect its truths, seek its clarity, incline and apply your heart and mind to understanding it until it comes alive in your spirit. Glory to GOD!

Amen.

It Must Work

It Must Work

Apostle Grace Lubega

John 2:3-5(KJV); And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

Mary did not merely carry a boy-child, she carried the Word.

An angel appeared to her and said, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35).

The angel called it a holy thing—He was the Word in flesh. For, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with GOD, the Word was GOD and He became flesh (John 1).

For nine months, Mary was pregnant with the WORD; she went through all the hormonal changes of an expectant mother in expectation of the WORD; she travailed in labour and brought forth the WORD; she breastfed Him; bathed Him, and dressed Him. She nursed him from being a babe to a full grown man. Him—the WORD.

Here she was, at a wedding and they were out of wine.

In answer to her request, the Word told her, “Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.”

Her response was directed to the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”

Regardless of his previous response, Jesus turned water into wine.

It was not a case of a son meekly responding to a mother’s bidding. It was the integrity of the Word responding to a woman of faith in what Jehovah could do.

You have received the Word, you have kept it in your heart, you have meditated upon it; you have spoken it, thought it, cried and laughed with it. It cannot fail to work, child of GOD.

It doesn’t matter whether it is not yet “time” for your miracle. It doesn’t matter that circumstances do not favour your testimony. It doesn’t matter that you are too young for that promotion.

When you place a demand on the Word, it must work. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Timothy 4:15

GOLDEN NUGGET:
You have received the Word, you have kept it in your heart, you have meditated upon it; you have spoken it, thought it, cried and laughed with it. It cannot fail to work, when you place a demand on it.

PRAYER: Father, today I am joyful in spirit and my lips proclaim your goodness because of who you are, my helper, my strength, my comforter and my power. I thank you for your Word. It is supernatural, eternal, inexpressible in value, infinite in scope and regenerative in value. By your word, you have done me great all these days, I can count my blessings one by one and know you are good. Even today Lord, I live with the assurance that it has consumed every fibre of my life and it is working to the glory of your name. You sent it out and it cannot return to you void. I received it and it prospers in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

A Christian of Eternal Understanding

Apostle Grace Lubega

Mark 14:3-8(KJV); And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head… And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me…She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

By Jewish custom, bodies were anointed after burial.

This is why, after the Lord’s death, the Bible accounts that Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body (Mark 16:1).

But in our theme scripture, we see Mary in the house of Simon the leper breaking her alabaster box of very expensive perfume and anointing His body BEFORE His death.

It was this same Mary who had sat at the master’s feet to hear the Word, of whom the LORD said that she had received that which was needful (Luke 10:42, John 12:2-4).

One significant thing she received from Him was the understanding of eternal time and how to function in it.

She pre-anointed His body for burial. The women who went to the tomb on the day of the resurrection were very late. (Mark 16:1-6).

Such is the power of attending and inclining your heart and life to the Word.

Because it is eternal, it allows you to look at life through the lenses of the finished work and to see the end of a matter at its beginning. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Luke 10:42, John 19:30

GOLDEN NUGGET:
The Word allows you to look at life through the lenses of the finished work and to see the end of a matter at its beginning.

PRAYER: Father, I am most grateful for your Word. I see life through the eyes of eternity and never misapprehend in the timings of the spirit. I am in full consonance with your mind. Today, I choose to walk in the wisdom of one who has an understanding of eternal things. This knowledge sets me above everything that is ordinary. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Why we Preach the Grace: Friends of God

Apostle Grace Lubega

James 2:23 (KJV);And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

In this life, there are people who are busy seeking God while there are those whom God is seeking.

Some are in quest of friendship with God while others find themselves as the recipients of this friendship.

Take the example of Abraham. He was a worshipper of the sun god before the Lord called him.

God did not find him on a prayer mountain seeking Him. He sought for him and instructed him to leave his household and go to a land the Lord would show him(Genesis 12:1).

The scriptures later reveal that he was called the friend of God because righteousness was imputed upon him.

You do not become a friend of God by doing anything to win His approval.

You are a friend of God because you received His grace and love.

Friendship with God starts from the point when you accept the free gift of imputed righteousness by grace. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Romans 5:17, Romans 4:6

GOLDEN NUGGET

You are a friend of God because you received His grace and love.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the gift of your grace. I thrive in it knowing that by grace, you have drawn me to yourself. It is love and grace that has deepened the intimacy of our relationship and not the things I may do to please you. You are already pleased with me because I am your beloved child. I am also more than a child, I am a friend. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Spirit of Grace and Supplication

Apostle Grace Lubega

Zechariah 12:10(KJV); And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Some Christians use the fact that they are under the grace as an excuse for a sloppy life of prayer.

But this ought not to be so.

Men under the grace are men of fervent and earnest prayer.

No man under the grace can claim that they lack the grace to pray because the Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace and supplication.

Paul speaks of laboring more than his brethren yet it was the grace of God that labored in and with him (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Being under the grace does not excuse us from a life of prayer. It teaches us to deny ungodliness (Titus 2:11-12) and this includes prayerlessness. Praise Him!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 15:10, James 5:17

GOLDEN NUGGET:
Men under the grace are men of fervent and earnest prayer. No man under the grace can claim that they lack the grace to pray because He is the spirit of grace and supplication.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for your Word. I have the Spirit of grace and supplication. He causes me to pray and to tarry in your presence. In this understanding, I have not received the grace in vain but with purpose and this causes me to seek your face with fervency and earnestness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
