John 15:2 (NKJV); Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
If you want to produce fruit in any area of your life, expect to be pruned by God.
Pruning is done by removing certain dead or useless aspects of a plant. As a child of God, the Bible calls you the planting of the Lord (Isaiah 61:3). When He prunes you, there are certain aspects of your life that He cuts off and gets rid of.
Pruning is done for different reasons. It is done to improve the yield or the quality of the plant, to control the direction of its growth or to improve its health.
God is very interested in the quality of the Christian that you become. He does not want you to merely be one among so many, as such He prunes you. This means that pruning makes us distinctive in our Christian walk.
God is deeply invested in your destiny and in the direction that your life must take. He prunes us in order to keep us on the right course. There are things that must leave your life for you to stay focused on where God is taking you.
Your health as a Christian is important to God. By this, I do not mean spiritual health only but the beauty of what comes out of you. Every child of God has been created for greatness. Unfortunately, there are things in our lives that get in the way of this great calling and make us settle for mediocrity. When God prunes us, He gets rid of these unnecessary weights in order to free our spirits and minds for the endless liberties that He has left at our disposal.
Your heart must be open to the pruning of the Lord. You must have wisdom to recognise that some things that happen to you are as a result of this pruning. This way, you will not fight it because you assume it is the attack of the enemy but will yield yourself to God so that He can deal with you in the ways He knows best.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I embrace it as my portion in You because I desire to grow. My heart and spirit are open to You as You lead me and deal with me. If you must bend or break me, do so. If I must die to the things that I cling to, may I die to them and may they die to me. By this understanding, I grow and bear excellent fruit, to the glory of Your name, Amen.

John 15:7 (KJV); If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
The spiritual realm is synchronised for any man who has learnt how to abide in God and to stay consistently present to Him.
It is for this reason that in our theme scripture, the Bible says that if you abide in Christ and His words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.
Sometimes people struggle with receiving answers to their prayers because their prayers are one-off experiences, they have not learnt how to abide in Christ.
It is for this same reason that others are very inconsistent in their success and growth. Such people find themselves fruitful and increasing in certain aspects of their lives today and plunging to loss the next day. One day they are celebrating the goodness of God and the next day they are lamenting why nothing they do achieves lasting success.
This inability to be consistent in success in one’s life is a consequence of inconsistency in one’s availability to the presence of God.
Abiding in God and allowing His words to abide causes the synchronicities of the Spirit to work in your favour. You will always find yourself in the right place, at the right time and with the right people.

Ensi y’omwoyo nekwatanisa n’omuntu oyegyire kuguma omuri Ruhanga kandi akaguma nawe obutoosha.
N’ahabw’enshonga egi ngu omu mutwe gw’ebyahandiikirwe byaitu, Baiburi negira ngu waguma omuri Kristo n’ebigambo bye bikaguma omuri iwe, noza kushaba kyona eki orikwenda kikukorerwe.
Obumwe abantu nibafuba kugarukwamu eshaara zaabo ahabw’okuba okushaba kwaabo tikw’obutoosha, tibakeegire okuguma omuri Kristo.
N’ahabw’enshonga egi ngu abantu abamwe tibarukuguma nibagogyera hamwe n’okukura. Ensi y’omwooyo ikiraniza hamu n’omuntu weena owayegere omulingo gw’okwikara omuli Ruhanga hamu nokubaho obutalekera Habwe.
Enu niyo nsonga habwaki omukyahandikirwe kyaitu eky’omutwe, Baibuli negamba ngu kakuba mwikara mu Kristo kandi n’ebigambo Bye bikaba omul’inywe, mulisaba kyoona ekimukugonza kandi kiribakolerwa.

Yohana 15:7 (KJV); Ninyi mkikaa ndani yangu, na maneno yangu yakikaa ndani yenu, ombeni mtakalo lote nanyi mtatendewa.
Ulimwengu wa kiroho umesawazishwa kwa mtu yeyote ambaye amejifunza jinsi ya kukaa katika Mungu na kukaa mbele zake mara kwa mara.
Ni kwa sababu hii kwamba katika andiko letu kuu, Biblia inasema kwamba mkikaa ndani ya Kristo na maneno Yake yakae ndani yenu, mtauliza mtakalo na yatafanywa kwenu.
Wakati mwingine watu hupambana na kupokea majibu ya maombi yao kwa sababu maombi yao ni uzoefu wa wakati mmoja, hawajajifunza jinsi ya kukaa katika Kristo.
Ni kwa sababu hii kwamba wengine hawaendani sana na mafanikio yao na kukua wao. Watu kama hao wanajikuta wakizaa matunda na kuongezeka katika baadhi ya vipengele vya maisha yao leo na kupoteza yote ghafla siku inayofuata. Siku moja wanasherehekea wema wa Mungu na siku inayofuata wanaomboleza kwa nini hakuna chochote wanachofanya kinachofanikisha mafanikio ya kudumu.
Kutokuwa na uwezo huu wa kuwa thabiti katika mafanikio katika maisha ya mtu ni matokeo yakutopatikana kwake mara kwa mara kwa uwepo wa Mungu.
Kukaa katika Mungu na kuruhusu maneno Yake kukaa husababisha usawa wa Roho kufanya kazi kwa niaba yako. Daima utajikuta mahali panaofaa, kwa wakati unaofaa na kwa watu wanaofaa.

Genesis 21:9-11 (KJV); And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son.
Abraham was faced with a serious dilemma, which was a result of his decision to have a child outside the plan that God had for his life.
He found himself with two sons: one of the promise and the other not of the promise. He had to deal with the tough instruction to cast out his son, his blood and his own seed.
Abraham’s grief is not unlike the experience of some people today. They find themselves struggling with the instruction of God to let go of one of two things that look alike yet the fact is that one of those things is of the promise of God and the other is not.
As such, they may be confused: both look like jobs but one is a job you got because you thought God had delayed in fulfilling His plans for you while the other job is in the will of God for your life. They both look like ministries, but one you got into without God’s instruction and now He is calling you to the real thing.
For some people, it is their relationships. You have gotten too deeply involved with a person God does not want you to marry because you were tired of being single, now the right person has come along and you feel conflicted.
The lesson herein is that when God promises you something, stick to His way. He has promised in His Word to lead us in the path of life (Psalm 16:11).

Kyeyava agamba Ibulayimu nti Goba omuzaana ono n’omwana we: kubanga omwana w’omuzaana ono tajja kubeera musika wamu n’omwana wange, ye Isaaka. N’ekigambo ekyo ne kiba kizibu nnyo mu maaso ga Ibulayimu olw’omwana we.
Ibulayimu yasisinkana obuzibu obw’amaanyi, obwava mu kusalawo kwe okw’okufuna omwana wabweru w’entegeka Katonda gye yalina eri obulamu bwe.
Yeesanga n’abatabani babiri: omu ow’ekisuubizo n’omulala atali wa kisuubizo. Yalina okukwasaganya ekiragiro ekikakali okugoba mutabani we, omusaayi gwe era ensigo ye.

Okutandika 21:9-11 (KJV); Saara yaareeba omwana wa Hagari Omunyamisrikazi, ou yaazairweho Abrahamu, naazaana n’omutabani. Nikyo yaagiriire Abrahamu ati: Binga ogu muzaana n’omwana we; ahakuba omwana w’ogu muzaanakazi tarihungura n’omwana wangye Isaaka. Ekigambo ekyo kyagwisa kubi Abrahamu ahabw’omwana we.
Abrahamu akabugana ekizibu kihango, ekyaretsirwe okuchwaamu kwe kutuunga omwaana aheeru y’entebekanisa ei Ruhanga yabaire ainiire amagara gye.
Akeeshanga aine abatabani babiri. Omwe w’endagano ondiijo atari w’endagano. Akaba aine kukoragana n’obuhabuzi bugumire kubinga omwaana we, eshagama kandi ruzaaro ye.
Obusaasi bwa Abrahamu tiburikutaana n’obw’abantu hati. Nibeshanga barikubufa n’obuhabuzi bwa Ruhanga kureka kimwe aha bintu bibiri ebirikushushana kandi obwo amazima gari ngu kimwe ahari ebyo bibiri n’eky’endagaano ya Ruhanga kandi ekindi tikyo.
Abantu nkaabo, nibaburabuzibwa: Yombi nereebeka nk’emirimo kwonka ogumwe okagutuunga ahabw’okuba okateekateeka ngu Ruhanga akakyerererwa kuhikiriza entebeekanisa ye ahariiwe kandi ogundi guri omu kukunda kwa Ruhanga aha magara gaawe. Okubanza 21:9-11 (KJV); Kandi Sara akarora omwana wa Hagara omumisiri, ouyazalire Iburahimu, naseka. Nikyo yagambirire Iburahimu ati Binga omuzana onu nomwanawe: baitu omwana womuzana onu taliba mugwetwa hamu nomwana wange Isaka. Ekigambo eki kyalemera muno omu maiso ga Iburahimu habwomwanawe.
Ibrahimu akatangatangana kusoberwa okwamaani, okwarugiriire omu ncwamuye kuzaara omwaana aheeru y’entekaniza Ruhanga akaba anyina habwomezi bwe.

Genesis 16:1-4 (KJV); Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
Sometimes, when people feel delayed in particular aspects of their lives, they are tempted to compromise in order to obtain the things they long for.
Sarah, desperately in need of a child, chose this path. She urged her husband to have a child with Hagar, her maid.
Even in our world today, many people are driven by desperation to cut corners. How many women have fallen into the jaws of witchcraft simply because they want a child? How many businessmen or women have tainted their legacies with corruption simply because they wanted to get rich? How many employees have destroyed their careers because they wanted to improve their livelihoods?
But you should never be deceived, child of God, that compromise is without a cost. It does have a cost.
Sarah had to suffer the mockery of her maid because she had chosen the path of compromise. She also had to deal with the mockery of Ishmael, the fruit of her actions.
The life we have been called to is a life of faith. People of faith never get desperate. If you ever find yourself within the borders of desperation, understand that you have stepped out of the realm of faith.
When in such a place, remind yourself to rest in God. It is when we are at rest that we win.

Jeremiah 32:19 (KJV); Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
In this world, ministries, careers, families and even entire nations are shipwrecked at the sea of bad decisions.
For a believer who suffers such a fate, the reason is usually that he or she did not look to God for divine counsel.
Our theme scripture tells us that God is GREAT IN COUNSEL. It means that no matter how difficult a situation is, no matter how conflicted you may feel in a given set of circumstances, no matter how complicated your choices may be, God always has a way out.
There is no situation for which God cannot tell you what to do.
Why do you feel stuck not knowing what to do? Why are you stranded in the depths of indecision as though the great counsellor has gone mute?
Some people are confused because they have consulted everybody around them and still do not know what to do. Others make decisions by popular vote depending on how many people seem to agree with it. The majority can be wrong but God is never wrong.
Live a life where God is the first point of counsel. Let your decisions be God-decisions because the God that is great in counsel is with you and is for you.

Yeremia 32:19 (KJV); mkuu wa mashauri, mweza katika kutenda; ambaye macho yake yamefumbuka juu ya njia zote za wanadamu, kumpa kila mtu kwa kadiri ya njia zake, na kwa kadiri ya matunda ya matendo yake,
Katika ulimwengu huu, huduma, kazi, familia na hata mataifa yote yamevunjikiwa na meli kwenye bahari ya maamuzi mabaya.
Kwa mwamini anayepatwa na maafa kama hayo, sababu ni kwa kawaida kwamba hakumtazamia Mungu kwa ushauri wa kiungu.
Maandiko ya mada yetu yanatuambia kwamba Mungu ni MKUBWA KATIKA MASHAURI. Inamaanisha kwamba hata hali iwe ngumu kadiri gani, hata uhisi mgongano kadiri gani katika hali fulani, hata uchaguzi wako uwe mgumu kadiri gani, siku zote Mungu ana njia ya kutokea.
Hakuna hali ambayo Mungu hawezi kukuambia la kufanya.
Kwanini unahisi kukwama usijue la kufanya? Kwa nini umekwama katika kina kirefu cha kutokuwa na maamuzi kana kwamba mshauri mkuu amenyamaza?
Watu wengine wamechanganyikiwa kwa sababu wameshauriana na kila mtu karibu nao na bado hawajui la kufanya. Wengine hufanya maamuzi kwa kura za watu wengi kulingana na ni watu wangapi wanaonekana kukubaliana nayo. Wengi wanaweza kukosea lakini Mungu hakosei kamwe.
Ishi maisha ambayo Mungu ndiye sehemu ya kwanza ya ushauri. Maamuzi yako yawe maamuzi ya Mungu maana Mungu aliye mkuu wa shauri yuko pamoja nawe na yuko kwa ajili yako.

Genesis 16:16-17:1 (KJV); And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
When you study the scriptures, you will realise that Abraham had Ishmael at the age of eighty six (Genesis 16:16). There is a time lag of thirteen years between Genesis 16:16 and Genesis 17:1. It appears that God did not speak to Abraham from Genesis 16:16 when he was eighty six years old to Genesis 17:1 when he was ninety nine years old.
This is no mere coincidence as the scriptures are trying to teach us something fundamental about God and how He works.
Why would God go silent for a period of thirteen years? Why is there no record of how God interacted with Abraham within this time period?
In the previous devotions, we learnt that God promised Abraham several times that he would make him a great nation but our father had not fully conceived what God meant by His promise. He went ahead to attempt to fulfill the promise by His own ability through having a child with Hagar (Genesis 16).
The Hebrew number thirteen signifies rebellion. Here, we learn that sometimes God’s silence is not because He has not instructed us on a matter but because He has spoken before and we did not understand. He is silent when we take the path of human effort to fulfil divine purpose. Nothing silences the voice of counsel like rebellion by a man.
If you are wondering why God is so silent about a particular issue in your life, it may be because the first time He spoke, you did not do it His way and chose to do it your way.
Examine yourself. Instead of crying over His silence, return to the point of the first instruction. If you deviated from the path He asked you to take, change course and align yourself to His will and purposes.
His name be praised.

Waliwo ebbanga lya myaka kkumi n’esatu wakati wa Oluberyeberye 16:16 ne Oluberyeberye 17:1. Ku orikushoma ebyahandiikirwe, noyetegyereza ngu Abrahamu akatuunga Ishimaeli aha myaka makumi munaana na mukaaga (Okutandika 16:16). Hariho obwiire bw’emyaka ikumi n’eshatu ahagati y’Okutandika 16:16 hamwe n’Okutandika 17:1. MAAGIZO YA BWANA – 3: UKIMYA WA MUNGU
Mwanzo 16:16, 17:1 (KJV); Naye Abramu alikuwa mtu wa miaka themanini na sita, hapo Hajiri alipomzalia Abramu Ishmaeli. Abramu alipokuwa mtu wa miaka tisini na kenda, BWANA akamtokea Abramu, akamwambia, Mimi ni Mungu Mwenyezi, uende mbele yangu, ukawe mkamilifu.
Unaposoma maandiko, utagundua kwamba Ibrahimu alikuwa na Ishmaeli akiwa na umri wa miaka themanini na sita (Mwanzo 16:16). Kuna muda wa miaka kumi na tatu kati ya Mwanzo 16:16 na Mwanzo 17:1. Inaonekana kwamba Mungu hakuzungumza na Ibrahimu kutoka Mwanzo 16:16 alipokuwa na umri wa miaka themanini na sita hadi Mwanzo 17:1 alipokuwa na umri wa miaka tisini na tisa.
Hili silo jambo la kibahati tu kwani maandiko yanajaribu kutufundisha jambo la msingi kuhusu Mungu na jinsi Anavyofanya kazi.
Kwa nini Mungu anyamaze kwa muda wa miaka kumi na tatu? Kwa nini hakuna kumbukumbu ya jinsi Mungu alitangamana na Ibrahimu ndani ya kipindi hiki cha wakati?
Katika ibada zilizotangulia, tulijifunza kwamba Mungu aliahidi Ibrahimu mara kadhaa kwamba angemfanya kuwa taifa kubwa lakini baba yetu hakuwa ameelewa kikamilifu kile ambacho Mungu alimaanisha kwa ahadi yake. Alikwenda mbele kujaribu kutimiza ahadi kwa uwezo wake mwenyewe kwa kupata mtoto na Hajiri (Mwanzo 16).
Nambari ya Kiebrania kumi na tatu inaashiria uasi. Hapa, tunajifunza kwamba wakati fulani kunyamaza kwa Mungu si kwa sababu hajatuagiza juu ya jambo fulani bali ni kwa sababu amesema hapo awali na hatukuelewa. Yeye huwa kimya tunapochukua njia ya jitihada za kibinadamu ili kutimiza kusudi la Mungu. Hakuna kitu kinachonyamazisha sauti ya shauri kama uasi wa mwanadamu.
Ikiwa unashangaa kwa nini Mungu yuko kimya juu ya suala fulani katika maisha yako, inaweza kuwa kwa sababu mara ya kwanza alipozungumza, hukufanya kwa njia yake na ulichagua kufanya kwa njia yako.
Jichunguze. Badala ya kulia juu ya ukimya wake, rudi kwenye nukta ya maagizo ya kwanza. Ikiwa umekengeuka kutoka kwenye njia Aliyokuomba uifuate, badilisha njia na ujilinganishe na mapenzi na makusudi Yake.

Genesis 12:1-2 (KJV); Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
When the Lord instructs you, it is important that you conceive the instruction the first time that it comes. When you do, you will avoid many unwanted delays on the path of destiny.
Our great father Abraham’s life is very instructive on this point.
Sometimes we assume that it was within God’s perfect timing for Abraham and Sarah to have Isaac at one hundred years and ninety years of age respectively . But this is not necessarily so. He is the God who desires to satisfy us while it is still early (Psalm 90:14).
For example, when God first appeared to Abraham, he was seventy five years old, already well advanced in years. At that time, God promised to make him a great nation. Was it God’s intention to start to put this plan into action twenty five years later when Abraham was one hundred years old? No.
When God first spoke to Abraham in Genesis 12, it was evident to God that Abraham had not conceived the instruction and the promise that first time.
As a result, in Genesis 15, God had to repeat Himself. He told him that Eliezar would not be his heir. “But he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.” (Genesis 15:4).
Later, in Genesis 17, God repeats the same promise to Abraham. In proof of the fact that Abraham still had not fully grasped what God had meant the first time, he laughs and says in his heart, “shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?” (Genesis 17:17).
This teaches us that sometimes delays are because we did not conceive instructions the first time they are spoken. God does not have to repeat Himself several times for you to know what He means. Open your spirit to understand His instructions THE FIRST TIME.

MAAGIZO YA BWANA – 2: MARA YA KWANZA

Mwanzo 12:1-2 (KJV); BWANA akamwambia Abramu, Toka wewe katika nchi yako, na jamaa zako, na nyumba ya baba yako, uende mpaka nchi nitakayokuonyesha; nami nitakufanya wewe kuwa taifa kubwa, na kukubariki, na kulikuza jina lako; nawe uwe baraka;
Wakati Bwana anapokuelekeza, ni muhimu kwamba uyafikirie maagizo yake mara ya kwanza yanapokuja. Unapofanya hivyo, utaepuka kuchelewea kwingi usiohitajika kwenye njia ya hatima.
Maisha ya baba yetu mkuu Ibrahimu yanafunza sana juu ya jambo hili.
Wakati mwingine tunadhania kwamba ilikuwa ndani ya muda kamili wa Mungu kwa Ibrahimu na Sara kupata Isaka katika umri wa miaka mia moja na tisini mtawalia. Lakini hii si lazima iwe hivyo. Yeye ndiye Mungu anayetaka kutushibisha wakati bado ni mapema (Zaburi 90:14).
Kwa mfano, Mungu alimtokea Abrahamu kwa mara ya kwanza, alipokuwa na umri wa miaka sabini na tano, tayari alikuwa amezeeka sana. Wakati huo, Mungu aliahidi kumfanya kuwa taifa kubwa. Je! ilikuwa ni nia ya Mungu kuanza kutekeleza mpango huu miaka ishirini na tano baadaye wakati Ibrahimu alipokuwa na umri wa miaka mia moja? Hapana.
Wakati Mungu alipozungumza na Ibrahimu kwa mara ya kwanza katika Mwanzo 12, ilikuwa dhahiri kwa Mungu kwamba Ibrahimu hakuwa amewazia maagizo na ahadi akilini mara ya kwanza.
Matokeo yake ni kwamba, katika Mwanzo 15, ilimbidi Mungu ajirudie. Alimwambia kwamba Elieza hangekuwa mrithi wake. “Lakini yeye atakayetoka katika tumbo lako mwenyewe ndiye atakayekurithi.” (Mwanzo 15:4).
Baadaye, katika Mwanzo 17, Mungu anarudia ahadi ile ile kwa Ibrahimu. Katika uthibitisho wa ukweli kwamba Ibrahimu bado alikuwa hajaelewa kikamilifu kile ambacho Mungu alikuwa amemaanisha mara ya kwanza, alicheka na kusema moyoni mwake, “Je! na Sara, mwenye umri wa miaka tisini, atazaa? (Mwanzo 17:17).
Hii inatufundisha kwamba wakati mwingine kuchelewa kwetu ni kwa sababu hatukuyapata maagizo mara ya kwanza yalipozungumzwa. Si lazima Mungu ajirudie mara kadhaa ili ujue anamaanisha nini. Fungua roho yako kuyaelewa maagizo yake MARA YA KWANZA.

UJUMBE MKUU: Wakati mwingine kuchelewa kwetu ni kwa sababu hatukuyapata maagizo mara ya kwanza yalipozungumzwa. Si lazima Mungu ajirudie mara kadhaa ili ujue anamaanisha nini. Fungua roho yako kuyalewa maagizo yake MARA YA KWANZA.
SALA: Mola Wangu, Ninashukuru kwa neno hili. Inafungua roho yangu kukuelewa wazi mara ya kwanza unapozungumza. Ninajua akili Yako na kile Unachotarajia nifanye katika kila msimu wa maisha yangu kwa sababu ninashikamana kwa kina na maagizo Yako. Katika jina la Yesu, Amina.

When God first appeared to Abraham, He promised to make him a great nation. It went without saying that this great nation would be as a result of Abraham’s seed. It meant that even though Abraham was at the time childless, God had it in His plan to give him a son.
Later events reveal that Abraham did not understand this. If he had understood, he would not have assumed that his servant Eliezer of Damascus would be his heir (Genesis 15:2-3). If he had understood, he would not have agreed to having a child with Hagar (Genesis 16:1-4).
There is a clear difference between what God says and what you understand. Many people make mistakes in their ministries, careers, businesses and relationships because God said one thing and they understood another thing.
Abraham did not understand that his descendants would come from his very own loins. He let his age and Sarah’s bareness blind him to what God truly meant.
To receive instruction is one thing, to understand it is another. Many fall into the pit of assumptions because they merely heard an instruction but did not meditate and ponder on it enough to unveil God’s true intentions.
Every time God speaks to you, ask for the wisdom and grace to fully interpret His instructions concerning your destiny. When you do so, you will never make the kind of mistakes that arise from trying to interpret God’s instruction your way because you did not understand Him when He spoke.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Every time God speaks to you, ask for the wisdom and grace to fully interpret His instructions concerning your destiny. When you do so, you will never make the kind of mistakes that arise from trying to interpret God’s instruction your way because you did not understand Him when He spoke.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. I always hear You when You speak. But deeper than that, I understand divine instructions and act on them in wisdom and with diligence. This truth guides my steps and keeps me from mistakes and unnecessary delays. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Katonda bwe yasooka okweyoleka eri Ibulayimu, yamusuubiza okumufuula eggwanga eddene. Kyali kirabikirawo era nga tekyetaaga kunnyonnyolwa nti linno eggwanga eddene liriva mu nsigo ya Ibulayimu. Kitegeeza nti newankubadde Ibulayimu mu kaseera ako yali talina mwana, Katonda yakirina mu ntegeka Ye okumuwa omwana.

OBUHABUZI BWA MUKAMA – 1: OKWETEGYEREZA

Okutandika 12:1-2 (KJV); MUKAMA yaagambira Abramu ati: Ruga omu nsi yaanyu, n’omu ruganda rwanyu n’omu nju ya sho, oze omu nsi ei ndikworeka; ndyakuhindura eihanga rihango; kandi ndyakuha omugisha, ndangaanise eiziina ryawe; naiwe oryahaisa abandi omugisha.
Ruhanga kuyabandize kweyoreka Abrahamu, akamuraganisa kumuhindura eihanga rihango. Tikiragambirwe ngu eihanga rihango eri riryakomooka aha baijukuru ba Abrahamu. Kikaba nikimanyisa ngu n’obu Abrahamu yabaire ataine mwaana omu bwiire obwo, Ruhanga akaba yakiteekateekire kumuheereza omwaana.
Bwanyima ebyabeireho nibishoborora ngu Abrahamu tarayetegyereize eki. EZAABU: Ruhanga yaguma yagamba naiwe, mushabe obwengye n’embabazi kuvunurira gye obuhabuzi bwe bw’orugyendo rwaawe. Ku orikukora eki, torikora nshobi ezirikuruga omu kugyezaho kuvunurira obuhabuzi bwa Ruhanga omu muringo gwaawe ahabw’okuba toramwetegyereize obu agamba.
OKUSHABA: Taata Omukundwa, Ninkusiima ahabw’amazima aga. Butoosha ninkuhurira ku orikugamba. Kwonka okukira ahari ekyo, ninyetegyereza obuhabuzi bwa Ruhanga kandi nkora nk’oku burikugamba omu bwengye hamwe n’obweziriki. Amazima aga nigebembera ebigyere byangye kandi gandiinda obutashobya hamwe n’okukyerererwa okutaine mugasho. Omu eiziina rya Yesu, Amiina.
MAAGIZO YA BWANA – 1: KUFAHAMU
Mwanzo 12:1-2 (KJV); BWANA akamwambia Abramu, Toka wewe katika nchi yako, na jamaa zako, na nyumba ya baba yako, uende mpaka nchi nitakayokuonyesha; nami nitakufanya wewe kuwa taifa kubwa, na kukubariki, na kulikuza jina lako; nawe uwe baraka;
Mungu alipomtokea Ibrahimu kwa mara ya kwanza, aliahidi kumfanya kuwa taifa kubwa. Ilikuwa bila kusema kwamba taifa hili kubwa lingekuwa tokeo la uzao wa Ibrahimu. Ilimaanisha kwamba ingawa Ibrahimu wakati huo hakuwa na mtoto, Mungu alikuwa na mpango wake wa kumpa mwana.
Matukio ya baadaye yanaonyesha kwamba Ibrahimu hakuelewa jambo hilo. Ikiwa angeelewa, hangedhani kwamba mtumishi wake Eliezeri wa Damasko angekuwa mrithi wake (Mwanzo 15:2-3). Kama angeelewa, hangekubali kupata mtoto na Hajiri (Mwanzo 16:1-4).
Kuna tofauti ya wazi kati ya kile Mungu anasema na kile unachoelewa. Watu wengi hukosea katika huduma zao, kazi zao, biashara zao na mahusiano yao kwa sababu Mungu alisema jambo moja na wakaelewa jambo lingine.
Ibrahimu hakuelewa kwamba wazao wake wangetoka katika viuno vyake mwenyewe. Aliruhusu umri wake na ugumba wa Sara kumfanya asione kile ambacho Mungu alimaanisha kweli.
Kupokea mafundisho ni jambo moja, kuelewa ni jambo lingine. Wengi huanguka katika shimo la dhana kwa sababu walisikia tu maagizo lakini hawakutafakari na kuyatafakari vya kutosha kufunua nia za kweli za Mungu.
Kila wakati Mungu anapozungumza nawe, omba hekima na neema ya kutafsiri kikamilifu maagizo yake kuhusu hatima yako.
Unapofanya hivyo, hutawahi kufanya aina ya makosa yanayotokana na kujaribu kutafsiri maagizo ya Mungu kwa njia yako kwa sababu hukumwelewa alipozungumza.
MASOMO YA ZIADA: Mithali 4:7, Mithali 21:16
UJUMBE MKUU: Kila wakati Mungu anapozungumza nawe, omba hekima na neema ya kutafsiri kikamilifu maagizo yake kuhusu hatima yako. Unapofanya hivyo, hutawahi kufanya aina ya makosa yanayotokana na kujaribu kutafsiri maagizo ya Mungu kwa njia yako kwa sababu hukumwelewa alipozungumza.
SALA: Baba Mwenye Upendo, Nakushukuru kwa ujuzi huu. Siku zote nakusikia Unapozungumza. Lakini zaidi ya hayo, ninaelewa maagizo ya Mungu na kuyatenda kazi kwa hekima na kwa bidii. Ukweli huu unaongoza hatua zangu na kuniepusha na makosa na ucheleweshaji usio wa lazima. Katika jina la Yesu, Amina.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV); And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Paul, by his own admission, was not an excellent speaker. In 2 Corinthians 11:6 (NIV), he says, “I may indeed be untrained as a speaker but, I do have knowledge.” He did not have the power of prose to stand on as an attraction to men.
Sometimes, we assume that someone’s impressive oratory ability is what makes them a great minister of the gospel, that he who rhymes best knows best.
As such, there are ministers who have invested greatly in how to impress with words. Some have gone so far as to ensure that their sermons are presented like a well-organised essay with an introduction, a body and a conclusion.
While being a great speaker is a good thing, you must understand that God has not called us to be great talkers, He has called us to be great demonstrators of His power and His Spirit.
In 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NIV), the Bible reveals to us that the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
The gospel is not for our intellectual entertainment, it is for our spiritual edification.
As a minister of the gospel, you must always remember that you teach most with what you do and not merely by what you say. The faith of those to whom we minister should not stand on how well we speak but on the power of God as we demonstrate it.

JINSI TUNAVYOHUDUMU

1 Wakorintho 2:4-5 (KJV); Na neno langu na kuhubiri kwangu hakukuwa kwa maneno ya hekima yenye kushawishi akili za watu, bali kwa dalili za Roho na za nguvu, ili imani yenu isiwe katika hekima ya wanadamu, bali katika nguvu za Mungu. Hekima ya Kweli ya Mungu.
Paulo, kwa kukubali kwake mwenyewe, hakuwa mzungumzaji bora. Katika 2 Wakorintho 11:6 (NIV), anasema, “Naweza kuwa mtu asiye na ujuzi katika kunena, lakini nina maarifa.” Hakuwa na uwezo wa nathari kusimama kama kivutio kwa watu.
Wakati mwingine, tunachukulia kwamba uwezo wa kuvutia wa mtu wa kusema ndio unaomfanya kuwa mhudumu mkuu wa injili, ambaye anayeimba mashairi zaidi ndiye anayejua vyema zaidi.
Kwa hivyo, kuna wahudumu ambao wamewekeza sana katika jinsi ya kuvutia kwa maneno. Wengine wamefikia hatua ya kuhakikisha kwamba mahubiri yao yanawasilishwa kama insha iliyopangwa vizuri na utangulizi, mwili na hitimisho.

Katika 1 Wakorintho 4:20 (NIV), Biblia inatudhihirishia kwamba ufalme wa Mungu si suala la mazungumzo bali ni la nguvu.
Injili si kwa ajili ya burudani yetu ya kiakili, ni kwa ajili ya kutujenga kiroho.
Kama mhudumu wa injili, lazima ukumbuke kila wakati kwamba unafundisha zaidi kwa kile unachofanya wala sio tu kwa kile unachosema. Imani ya wale tunaowahudumia isisimame juu ya jinsi tunavyozungumza vizuri bali juu ya nguvu za Mungu tunapozidhihirisha.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV); And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
In our theme scripture, Paul writes to the Corinthians reminding them that his preaching was not done with the enticing words of man’s wisdom.
This tells us that it is possible for a man to build his faith on the wisdom of men.
What does man’s wisdom teach?
I have heard some ministers of the gospel claim that everything takes time. They justify this doctrine with statements like, ‘we build brick by brick’.
God’s wisdom asks, “What time? When you say that everything takes time, do you mean earthly time or heavenly time? Are you referring to ‘Kairos’ or ‘Kronos’?”
God’s wisdom does not teach that everything takes time. It teaches that when you maximise heavenly time (kairos), you will always be ahead of your peers, you will never be or ever feel delayed and you will build in a year what it takes others twenty years to build.
Man’s wisdom teaches that you should not live above your means. As such, there is a man building wealth on a paralyzing sort of frugality.
God’s wisdom teaches that a believer has not been called to live within his means. To do so would mean that the believer is dependent on his resources to fulfil God’s vision for his life. This does not in any way mean that we should be wasteful with our resources because He is not a wasteful God. It means that you must believe what the Word of God says in 2 Corinthians 9:8, that God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
God has not called you to the kind of faith built on the wisdom of men. He has called you to the God kind of faith that is established in the wisdom of God.

IMANI ILIYOJENGWA JUU YA HEKIMA YA MUNGU

1 Wakorintho 2:4-5 (KJV); Na neno langu na kuhubiri kwangu hakukuwa kwa maneno ya hekima yenye kushawishi akili za watu, bali kwa dalili za Roho na za nguvu, ili imani yenu isiwe katika hekima ya wanadamu, bali katika nguvu za Mungu. Hekima ya Kweli ya Mungu.
Katika andiko letu kuu, Paulo anawaandikia Wakorintho akiwakumbusha kwamba mahubiri yake hayakufanywa kwa maneno yenye kuvutia ya hekima ya mwanadamu.
Hii inatuambia kwamba inawezekana kwa mtu kujenga imani yake juu ya hekima ya wanadamu.
Hekima ya mwanadamu inafundisha nini?
Nimesikia baadhi ya wahudumu wa injili wakidai kwamba kila kitu huchukua muda. Wanahalalisha fundisho hili kwa kauli kama, ‘tunajenga tofali kwa tofali’.
Hekima ya Mungu inauliza, “Saa ipi? Unaposema kwamba kila kitu kinachukua muda, je, unamaanisha wakati wa dunia au wa mbingu? Je, unarejelea ‘Kairos’ ama ‘Kronos’?”
Hekima ya Mungu haifundishi kwamba kila jambo linahitaji muda. Inafundisha kwamba unapotumia vyema wakati wa mbingu (kairos), utakuwa mbele ya wenzako kila wakati, hutawahi kuwa au kuhisi kucheleweshwa na utajenga kwa mwaka kile ambacho kinachukua wengine miaka ishirini kujenga.
Hekima ya mwanadamu inafundisha kwamba hupaswi kuishi juu ya uwezo wako. Kwa hivyo, kuna mtu anayejitengenezea mali kwa aina fulani ya ubadhirifu.
Hekima ya Mungu inafundisha kwamba mwamini hajaitwa kuishi kulingana na uwezo wake. Kufanya hivyo kungemaanisha kwamba mwamini anategemea rasilimali zake ili kutimiza maono ya Mungu kwa maisha yake. Hii haimaanishi kwa vyovyote vile tufanye ubadhirifu na mali zetu kwa sababu yeye si Mungu mpotevu. Inamaanisha kwamba ni lazima uamini kile Neno la Mungu linasema katika 2 Wakorintho 9:8, kwamba Mungu aweza kuwajaza kila neema kwa wingi, ili ninyi, mkiwa na riziki za kila namna siku zote, mpate kuzidi sana katika kila tendo jema;
Mungu hajakuita kwa aina ya imani iliyojengwa juu ya hekima ya wanadamu. Amekuita katika aina ya imani ya Mungu ambayo imethibitishwa katika hekima ya Mungu.
MASOMO YA ZIADA: Yakobo 3:17, 2 Wakorintho 9:8
UJUMBE MKUI: Mungu hajakuita kwa aina ya imani iliyojengwa juu ya hekima ya wanadamu. Amekuita katika aina ya imani ya Mungu ambayo imethibitishwa katika hekima ya Mungu.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV); And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
In the previous devotions, we learnt about the first degree of faith which is the knowledge of God and the second degree which is to believe God personally. The third degree is wisdom in faith.
Faith requires wisdom.
When faith is not exercised in wisdom, it may either destroy the man who seeks to demonstrate this faith or stumble those who observe him walking in “faith”.
For example, must we go around drinking poison because the Bible says in Mark 16:18 that if we drink any deadly thing we shall not die? Well, there are people who have attempted to demonstrate their faith in this way and died for it because this faith was not exercised with wisdom.
In Romans 14:21 (AMP), the Bible cautions us not to do anything that makes a brother stumble, hurts his conscience, offends or weakens him. The English Standard Version of Romans 14:22 says, “The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God.”
If a man watches you demonstrate faith, may he never leave with questions. His conscience is more important to God than your need to demonstrate divine power.
By wisdom, our faith not only brings answers to us but it also ministers to those who watch this faith in action.

1 Wakorintho 2:4-5 (KJV); Na neno langu na kuhubiri kwangu hakukuwa kwa maneno ya hekima yenye kushawishi akili za watu, bali kwa dalili za Roho na za nguvu, ili imani yenu isiwe katika hekima ya wanadamu, bali katika nguvu za Mungu. Hekima ya Kweli ya Mungu
Katika ibada zilizopita, tulijifunza kuhusu digrii ya kwanza ya imani ambayo ni ujuzi wa Mungu na daraja ya pili ambayo ni kumwamini Mungu binafsi. Daraja ya tatu ni hekima katika imani.
Imani inahitaji hekima.
Imani isipotumika katika hekima, inaweza kumwangamiza mtu anayetafuta kuwa na imani hii au kuwakwaza wale wanaomwona akitembea katika “imani” .
Kwa mfano, je, tunapaswa kuzunguka huku tukinywa sumu kwa sababu Biblia inasema katika Marko 16:18 kwamba tukinywa kitu cha kufisha hatutakufa? Naam, kuna watu ambao wamejaribu kuonyesha imani yao kwa njia hii na kufa kwa ajili yake kwa sababu imani hii haikutekelezwa kwa hekima.

Kwa hekima, imani yetu haileti tu majibu kwetu, bali pia inahudumia wale wanaoitazama imani hii katika matendo.

2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV); For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Yesterday, we looked at the first degree of faith, which is the knowledge of God.
The second degree is to believe God personally.
In this life, there are people who believe God is a healer but they do not believe that He can heal them. They believe that God is a provider but they cannot believe that He can provide for them.
Their faith in what God can do is generic. However, that is not how the world of faith works.
Faith is personal. It is not enough to know what God can do, you must also understand that He can do it for you.
This second degree of faith requires that you examine yourself and do some serious soul searching.
You must be able to honestly ask yourself the question, “Do I really believe that God can do this for me?”
When you are honest in examining your faith, God ceases to be merely a healer, He becomes YOUR healer. He ceases to be merely a provider, He becomes YOUR provider.

2 Timotheo 1:12 (KJV); Kwa sababu hiyo nimepatikana na mateso haya, wala sitahayari; kwa maana namjua yeye niliyemwamini, na kusadiki ya kwamba aweza kukilinda kile nilichokiweka amana kwake hata siku ile.
Jana, tuliangalia digrii ya kwanza ya imani, ambayo ni ujuzi wa Mungu.
Digrii ya pili ni kumwamini Mungu kibinafsi.
Katika maisha haya, kuna watu wanaoamini kwamba Mungu ni mponyaji lakini hawaamini kwamba anaweza kuwaponya. Wanaamini kwamba Mungu ni mtoaji lakini hawawezi kuamini kwamba anaweza kuwatolea.
Imani yao katika kile Mungu anaweza kufanya ni ya kawaida. Hata hivyo, hivyo sivyo ulimwengu wa imani unavyofanya kazi.
Imani ni ya mtu binafsi. Haitoshi kujua kile ambacho Mungu anaweza kufanya, lazima pia uelewe kwamba anaweza kukufanyia.
Digrii hii ya pili ya imani inahitaji kwamba ujichunguze na kufanya uchunguzi wa kina wa nafsi.
Lazima uweze kujiuliza kwa uaminifu swali, “Je, ninaamini kweli kwamba Mungu anaweza kunifanyia hivi?”
Unapokuwa mwaminifu katika kuchunguza imani yako, Mungu huacha kuwa mponyaji tu, anakuwa mponyaji WAKO. Anaacha kuwa mtoaji tu, Anakuwa mtoaji KWAKO.
