1 Timothy 6:6(KJV); But godliness with contentment is great gain.
When I think about life, sometimes I get amazed by how people relentlessly pursue the things that will never satisfy them, somehow hoping that when they achieve these things, they will find a sense of purpose.
I assure you, child of God, that any pursuits outside the person of Christ will only bring you meaningless souvenirs in your quest for happiness.
One of the reasons why we have the story of Solomon in the Bible is to understand that ALL these things are vanity.
You don’t have to waste years in pursuit of material wealth to receive this revelation. Solomon sampled it all and gave you the verdict—vanity.
When you reach this understanding and see physical pleasures for what they are, you will have achieved a form of self-mastery.
What then is true contentment?
True contentment is in knowing God.
In Jeremiah 9:23-24(KJV), the Bible says, “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.”
Let your satisfaction be in knowing God. Indeed, your life at the moment may not be as perfect as you wish it to be but do you know God? That is enough!
The things you desire will follow soon enough. But let the pursuit of intimacy with God be your life’s ambition.
Many people wake up in the morning with goals of making it big in business or in their careers.
How about changing that goal into one of knowing God more? Of connecting more deeply to the realm of divine mysteries? Of launching deeper into His presence?
Promotions, increase and wealth will come to you but as surely as the rising and setting of the sun, they will never satisfy you.
Delight in knowing God! Jump out of bed every morning excited about what new things you are set to learn and discover about Him.

1 Timotewo 6:6 Icyakora koko kubaha Imana iyo gufatanije no kugira umutima unyuzwe kuvamo inyungu nyinshi.
Iyo ntekereje ubuzima, rimwe na rimwe ntangazwa n’ukuntu abantu bashaka ubutitsa ibintu bitazigera bibahaza, bibwira ko ahari nibagera kuri ibi bintu, bazabona icyo bageraho.
Ndakubwiza ukuri mwana w’Imana, ikintu cyose ushaka kiri hanze ya Kristo kizakuzanira urwibutso rudafite akamaro mu gushaka umunezero kwawe.
Imwe mu mpamvu dufite inkuru ya salomo muri Bibiliya ni ugusobanukirwa ko IBI byose bishira.
Ntugomba kwangiza imyaka yawe ushaka ubutunzi bufatika ngo wakire uku guhishurirwa. Salomo yarabibonye byose aguha ubuhamya—ubusa.

Kuzamurwa mu ntera, kwaguka n’ubutunzi bizakuzira ariko kuva izuba rirashe kugeza rirenga, ntibizigera biguhaza.
Nezezwa no kumenya Imana!

The war that the Church of Christ is waging against the enemy is at hell’s gates and not at the Church’s gates. The Church’s gates are not distressed with the ravages of war, they are wide open, admitting saints into God’s kingdom. The chaos is at hell’s gates, where God’s generals are busy causing havoc.
Revelation by its nature is very exciting. It may cause a man to jump off his seat in the middle of a sermon, burst into tongues and turn to his neighbour and give them a “high-five” of shared elation.
One of the reasons why manipulation has crept into the body of Christ is because some ministers of the gospel have failed to understand the difference between what is lawful and what is expedient.
Unhealthy compromises in the Christian faith are born out of the inability for some to separate what is lawful from what is expedient.
The need for the approval of others is a driving, nearly obsessive need for some people. The desire to be approved has made them go to unimaginable lengths of compromise.
One day, the Prophet Jeremiah was in distress. He puzzled over life and why some things were the way they were. He asked the Lord, “Why do the wicked prosper, why are they happy those who deal treacherously?” He complained about how God had planted evil men and how they had taken root (Jeremiah 12:1-3).
Deception is the mother of all iniquity.
In God we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
Your conscience must first be void of offence toward God, before it is void of offence toward men.
The spirit of deception that is at work in this world has blinded many people to what death and life are.
Christ’s discipleship of His own did not end when He left the earth. He continues to disciple us today through His Word.
